About

The inspiration behind Suave Dog started with a sunny kayak trip in South Texas! We absolutely love our dogs and they are a part of who we are. They participate in every adventure, and we spare nothing as pet parents to keep them healthy and active!

We recently learned about Pannus, an eye condition that can result in blindness, and thought to be a response to excessive ultra violet light (UV) exposure. It is particularly common in GSD dogs, but can affect any breed!

This is when it occurred to me that our dogs should have their eyes protected from the harsh UV sunlight, just as we do. On our next adventure, I fitted my German shepherd with a prototype retainer and some nice Aviators. She was instantly the center of attention and Suave Dog was born.

We strive to provide pets with human quality sunglasses to protect their eyes. Your fur-babies absolutely deserve the best, and their sensitive eyes need protection from UV exposure just like you.
